Cielo Ratings aspire to be an objective method of rating a racer, whether on horseback or driving a vehicle, relative to others at a moment in time.
The Story
Cielo Ratings is a work in progress to extend the ELO rating system methodology for calculating the relative skill levels of racers.
The Team
Stuart Slagle
Curator/Creator of the Cielo Ratings
Stuart is a horse racing official at multiple American horse racecourses including Prairie Meadows and Fair Grounds where he is respective their racing secretary and stakes coordinator. Stuart pursues this endeavor when not engaged with his primary employment, thus the progress of this website will come in “fits and starts” depending on weekends and holidays.
